An agreement was signed to increase the production of high-quality gasoline
The Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan has determined the transition to the production of high-octane gasoline of Euro-5 class and the rejection of AI-80 gasoline of Euro 2 class, through the implementation of the project for the modernization of the Bukhara Oil Refinery.
The project provides for the production of high-octane gasoline AI-92 and AI-95 of Euro 5 class in the amount of 60% and 40%, respectively. It is planned to implement the project in the “Fast-Track” mode with parallel design and construction.

On June 14, 2024, in the city of Beijing (People’s Republic of China), Uzbekneftegaz JSC and CPECC (China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Corporation) signed an Agreement for Pre EPC work, including the development of a basic design for energy resources and off-site facilities based on the documents provided by the licensor of technologies.

As previously reported, in April 2024, the Bukhara Oil Refinery signed an Agreement for the development of a package of project documentation with the technology licensor Axens.
